A funny thing happened today on the way to the orifice...

"Honey, how is the.......Eeeeekkkkk!!!! (Shari finds Aredub flat on his back, eyes glazed, seemingly out like a light) She cradles his head in her lap, fanning him frantically... Honey....what's the matter? Are you OK? Speak to me!!!!! (Randy slowly lifts one hand and waves a finger weakly in the direction of the newly inflated SVX ) Yes, I see it honey......did you try to inflate it by mouth instead of the pump? What...? (Randy waves his finger with more energy this time...) Yes dear it looks fine, just like our car....but....with....a .......6ft YELLOW BIPLANE WING!!!!!!!!  Don

1994 SVX, true dual Magnaflow exhaust, K&N filter, 17" Enkei RS6 wheels, Bridgestone Potenza RE730 225/45/17 rubber, zinc plated cross-drilled rotors with yellow painted brake calipers. B&M tranny cooler rated at 19,000 GVW. GC springs and Koni strut inserts installed and the car is lowered two inches all the way around!! "Too much fun to drive!"

He's been ripped off, screwed over, and now...run into....the man needs a break. I wish him many problem-free years of smooth sailing.... (Yeah I know, we are talking SVX's here...but one can dream!  Don

hey my kentuckee friend....
whatever works best for you. the svx gods continue to punish me. today i went to pick up my beloved svx only to find out that the spindle that goes into the transmission. this spindle is on the end of the cv axle. at the very end there is an metal ring or clip. behind this clip the spindle got twisted. apparently when the cv axle binded and began to come out of the tranny only to tip was still in.....well it twisted so that now it doesnt align with the rest of the spindle. so they have to replace that in order to get it back in the car.
i bet that sounds really confusing. sorry but i am no damn mechanic so i dont know how to better describe it. eddy i am sure you have an idea of what i am talking about. at least it didnt strip the inside of the tranny where the cv axle goes. good lord......well now they have to wait two more days to get the spindle piece in.....so friday i may have my car back.....

Darn it, Leo. Sorry to hear that it's going to be even longer. Believe me, I can relate. I'm just hoping against hope that I will pick up my car tomorrow. If so, it will be the first time I will be able to pick it up on the very day they said it would be ready. We shall see.
Meanwhile, I'm slightly impressed with this little Neon -- it's got more get up and go than I thought it would. The suspension is still like riding on a "Pogo Ball" and the seats are like "backboards" but, all and all, it doesn't suck. It's better than those damned jelly beans (Metro's) I've been stuck with in the past.
