SVX wheels on Outback?

Wondering if someone on here (OT?) has done/tried this...would like to put my SVX stock wheels that are shod with the Hankook I*Cept EVO snow tires on our 97 Outback with a set of 5x100 to 5x114 adapters... will the additional offset from the adapters and wider tire (225) crash the fenders? The overall diameter is about 7% small too...
I wont be using the SVX this winter if I can avoid it...

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

I'm quite sure they'll hit the fenders or fender liners.

Gordon, were supposed to have a warmer than average winter, you may not need to sit the svx all winter

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

funny you should ask that, i'll be doing that exact thing. since i left my winter tires out west i'm gonna use my svx's winter set on my OBS.

since i'm running coilovers i'm just gonna jack up the car so i dont run into fender issues

see attachment for adapters

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

Any rubbing? That's an Impreza Outback right? I wonder if the clearance is different on the Legacy Outback?

its rubbing slightly on the sti skirt when i turn hard but only for part of the turn, tires need to be little smaller tires, its probably due to the 25mm spacer adapters.

its an impreza outback

Conn - outback is 5x100 svx is 5x114

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

So how do they fit. 100 won't go on 114 will it?

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

Sounds like there is hope! the smaller diameter tires on the SVX may help prevent interference too, although 25mm is a lot of offset....

Re: SVX wheels on Outback?

as I hit send I spotted the adapter. Yea that would add a lot of offset. when I was looking
I saw some nice subi wheels but figured they would not work.

correction it is solely rubbing against the bolt that holds the skirt on.

pretty much anything a touch smaller than a 225/50/16 will not rub
but keep in mind i have coilovers so i can adjust my height

Wow, those look really good. They look better on that car than they do on the SVX.
