Sick thing to do to a '97...

What is up with the stripes? I think the paint job alone is worth a 'salvage title' designation.

It looks like it could be a vinyl overlay? Either way, buy it and save it from its hideousness and get it repainted. A 97 is worth that, yea? Current bid only $125?

yes...but one worries about how one treats a car when one paints a car in such a way...does one not?

Where there is smoke there is fire they say. And this car is smokin the 'rode hard put away wet' weed.

Re: Sick thing to do to a '97...

Copart usually has a few SVX's for sale in their auctions. I jumped through all the hoops last year in order to sign up and bid on one here in SLC, but the buyer's fees, commissions, loading fees, etc., almost doubled the price of the car so I passed. They don't charge sales tax so you have to be a dealer or have a tax number or sometimes a 3rd party with proper credentials will bid on it for you-- for an extra fee of course.

The non-standard paintwork might buff-out? - looks like a cheap job, then just hit it with clear coat?
