I called, they said that I just had to report it stolen, and they would order me a replacement front one.

Costs me $40 though.

Go to an auto parts store and get a set of keyed liscense plate screws. You'll find them next to the chrome chain liscense plate frames and smoke tint covers. I've been using them for years since plates often dissapear in our neighborhood.

Oddly enough, the set I bought has a same key that also opens up the telco boxes. Figure that one out... Now if only it fit the cable boxes... well, we won't go there.

When i go to the 'city' i put mine in the back window... I've had my registration sticker stolen about 5 times. I put a nice SVX license plate on the back and keep the actual plate in my back window... never had a problem.

In my new place I am getting free cable/cable modem. They can ont access the main switch since there are bricks blocking it. So I guess more power to me.

Bum deal!!!!! Customised liscence plates here in PA are only $20.00. I expect to get mine in 6 weeks or so --------> AWD POWR. Replacements, if stolen, are also $20.00. To make it even easier to get one you can fill out the form at PennDOTs website print it out and mail it in.

Was lucky enough to get the much desired "SVX" personalized plate last month. Shows the benefits of living in a poor, sparsely populated state. Don't think I need to lock mine here - one gal at work came in and asked me what the "SVX" stood for on my new plates.

Now brimming with arrogance, am thinking about trying to get "4X4" for my Tacoma......

Yeah it's quite odd. It's $25 for personal plates, but if one gets ripped off and you want the same plate again, it's a $40 replacement. Go figure.

We also have to drive to the state vehicle dept to pick them up (30min out of metro Denver).
