well it had a good run

so today marks the death of my svx, the motor seized at a rallyx. so i think i'm going to have to part it out i don't have time to put a new motor in while i'm in school, and i don't really have a place to store it eather. so i really don't have much choice .
R.I.P. good friend
fare well.

What He (Bobby) said!
Buy a junkyard engine for $500.00, invite some other SVXaholics in for a
mini-meet, take ten hours and save it!
Parting out a car is a pita!!!

Re: well it had a good run

He should post it in classified for sale as a WHOLE car and not parts... At least give a chance for others to buy and save it...

Re: well it had a good run

It was pretty rough. I've seen it in person. :-) Probably not worth saving.

Re: well it had a good run

heres my side of it i have no money i am moving almost 200 miles away friday. i don't have a place to store it. and like frank said, it needs a whole new front end bumpers fenders. a new left rear quarter panel, and left door. The interior still smells like it sat in a field for 5 years, which it kinda did and honestly. also the whole front end of the car is shot it needs new brakes sway bar, yes the sway bar is broken all the front end bushings are shot the power steering leaks like a seive, the ball joint have free play, and after i looked closly, i broke the right front strut mount. the a/c doesn't hold refrigerant, the frame is tweaked from one or both of the accidents. the diff hanger bushings are bad um, the cd player doesn't work right half the time, the right rear window switch doesn't roll the window up. It will not be the last svx i own, i have owned two others, this was just my first, it won't be my last, I will miss it allot and i already regret this decision, but there is no way for me to hold onto it right now.
