my suggest to Green

quit assuming, since you werent there that day I was
at their facility.
He and his drivers where all over my car and I let several
at the time take it for a few laps around the track.
Hence the reason I got a free set of tires out of it.

I tend to listen to those with experience before Id ever
listen to your ranting blah blah blah is all I hear to be
honest.

Maybe open up your mind a little and you could learn
a few things yourself.

Seriously, this is just one reason I hardly ever get on the
site anymore. There always has to be a few in the crowd
who think their opinion is so much smarter and better then
eveyone elses.
When I need your advice or opinion on how to run my
business Green or what I should offer or sell to customers
Ill be sure not to call you

btw, Green
explain to me how you get off calling something
"rice" which is probably the biggest word you know in your
volcabulary, when the 65 Shelby Mustang came with
them "stock" and back then was called a "Monte Carlo" bar ?

Dont bother answering, dont want to see your head explode.

one more thing Green and Im done with you

Notice NOWWHERE IN MY POST DOES IT SAY
"you must BUY these and notice a huge difference in
your car" or "wow, this is the BEST mod you can do to
your car " etc.. Did you notice that or can you actually
read and comprehend words bunched up together that
make a sentence ????
Nor did I EVER say Mr Bonderant said these cars "needed
a front strut bar " etc blah blah...
You are the typical "hear what you want to hear"
and "read and not actually listen" to what someone is saying
type of person.

How you ever made it in the military is beyond me.
I know how you would of made it out of it.

Sorry for the rant guys, but this retarded.
For all those interested in a Strut bar, keep track of the
post, and I hope to have pics etc soon.
And once done they will be available thru our site
www.planetsvx.com of course.

thanks to the rest.

OK Dayle, you have definetly lost me as a customer in any potential, future business. And I will recommend that everyone I know avoid you and your business...

Why??

At no point in here did I "attack" you personally, like you did me. But believe me, you've given me reason to now, and I will... I don't know where you, a civilian, comes off assuming "how I made it in the military"... Just to shut you up alittle regarding this topic (which is none of your business in the first place), I made Sergeant in 4 years, and if you knew ANYTHING about the military and the Marine Corps you'd know that is very rare...

Why did I get out of the Marines?

Simple, to finish my Aerospace Engineering degree. Which got switched to Mechanical Engineering and finally Environmental Technology, Chemistry and Toxicology... Disregarding my current major (and 3 minors) and keeping in mind that I have spent a total of 4 years in various engineering programs at three very well known universities throughout the country, I believe that I definitely DO have the mechanical knowledge to criticize ANYTHING that you post (or anyone else for that matter)... Not saying that "I am better than you" kinda thing. Only that I am not afraid to throw the Bull **** flag when I see it needs to be thrown...

And for your clarification (since you really seem to need it)...

The definition of Rice...

Webster Dictionary - "A swamp grass which is widely cultivated as a source of food, especially in Asia...

Urban Dictionary (which is where the word and it's meaning originated) - "An automobile that has been equipped with gawdy, unnesecary accessories, such as 3' high spoilers, loud and/or repulsive paint job and body work. Owners of such automobiles feel that these accessories make their car the best in the world, when in fact it is not."
.................................................. .

Another thing that I find rather interesting (Getting back on topic of the thread) is that I never once "attacked you"... I simply asked why you sell all these parts that are essentially useless (AND QUITE OVERPRICED I MIGHT ADD!)... You have the capability and (dare I say) potential to produce things that no one else has produced for the SVX... Parts which EVERYONE would buy because they want to actually improve the handling of the car, not just the way the engine bay looks when the hood is up at a "Rice convention" in the local Wal*Mart parking lot...

Your post above (which I quoted) is true... You never said "you must BUY these and notice a huge difference in your car" or "wow, this is the BEST mod you can do to your car " etc... But along these same lines, why would you offer a product that does next to nothing for the average driver (which is what 99% of SVX owners are)?? Why offer something that requires no knowledge of vehicle chassis dynamics to produce? You obviously are trying to appeal to the customers on "your wavelength" who only understand how something looks and not what makes a car stop, turn or go better than stock...
.................................................

Oh, one more thing... On the topic of the 1965 Shelby Mustang coming with Strut Tower braces... Hang on Dayle, I'm going to try to make it as simple as possible for you... Since we are already familiar with the "elementary" schooling method of using pictures to present a point, then I'll stick with that.

Notice the above picture, a 1965 Shelby GT350... Locate the Strut towers, which are what a good foot and a half, or two feet from the firewall... ALSO, notice that BIG blue lump of IRON sitting in between the towers... Now I'm going to go out on a limb here, but I bet that engine weighs quite alot more than our 3.3ltr ALUMINUM H-6... Not to mention that Metallurgy, design and manufacturing techniques in the 1960's were quite a bit different than they are now (in the age of computers and robots)... So YES, I can see why the Shelby Mustang would need one... But because a car from the 1960's (Supercar or not) has a Strut Tower brace is COMPLETELY irrelevant when referring to a Subaru (a car company which was barely alive in the 60's)...

Want to argue about Strut Tower Braces anymore Dayle?? I'm not going to stop you from selling them to people. People are going to buy whatever the hell they want. But I AM here to educate those people that are on the fence on the issue. And if that means that I stop them from wasting their money on a piece of metal that (if anything) is only adding weight to the front of their car, then so be it. Alittle advice for you for the future, I personally don't care of you are supplying parts to the SVX Network. Your parts have always been over priced, and that has pissed me off for years to see you sell things at higher prices just trying to make a bigger profit from a small tight car network. But whatever, I've never bought anything from you and I never will... And I will do what I can to see that the majority of SVX owners know what is and what isn't beneficial to their cars. The SVX is expensive enough to maintain and operate. The last thing we need is useless **** that does nothing but take more money and return almost NOTHING...

Good Luck selling your "strut tower braces" now...

Argue with whatever you like, but I don't think you have an argument with much of a concrete foundation. If anything I'm betting you'll either flame me on a personal level again or report me to the Mods...

~ Chris

Apologies to everyone else in the thread... I didn't mean to "show my ass" so to speak, but Dayle has no PM box or I would have sent this over PM (which would have been a courtesy that he didn't offer me before publicly bashing me)... I'm sure most people on here won't just let someone off when someone personally trash talks them...

I may be buzzed, but...

If you refer to me as a civilian then all I can do is think of just one finger.

I was, then woke up. not my bag. Too many hot-heads there (not really what I am thinking here, but just ....)
Sorry for the attack, cause this isn't the place.

So anyway, I would go for a anti-sway bar if there were one.

FWIW, My 1996 Legacy (Subaru) really benefits from my cusco strut tower brace. It is a wagon, and I have front and rear.

I autocross the car, and I can definitely tell the difference.
I do have suspension, and sway bars too.

I once saw a Japanese show where they compared and contrasted as well as installed a strut tower brace on a car, with a cut in the middle, with a small camera under the hood to see the movement.

The movement was amazing.

Now, maybe you will not feel the difference, but there are some who can.

My 2000 Legacy wagon got nice gains from the one in the rear (no shock - it's a big box!) but the one I installed out front seemed to offer nothing.

Either way, if there's any way to salvage this thread from a big boxing match, it would be handy, cos that's filler that we don't really need.

Dayle, thanks for your continued work in upgrading the svx. Most of us understand that there are very few vendors developing new performance upgrades and we genuinely appreciate what you are doing and are cool enough not to bite the few hands that feed us. While I may not be in the market for a strut tower brace (although results could change that), I surely would cough up for a rear anti sway bar. I've seen firsthand what it can do for the forester and I'd love to see one for the svx.
