My deepest condolences

Hello Earl,

I wont say I know what you are feeling...

I too had an old friend "AJ" that I lost a few years back.

Time may heal the wounds but what you have done is honor Boomer and brought him in to our hearts as well.

Max

Thoughts are with you...

My condolences on your loss. I, too, have gone through this, and know the pain of losing a best buddy. Take care Earl.

So sorry Earl.

In the 6+ years I've known you, Boomer was always there - greeting me at your front door, running all around Dabob, and the occasional driving tour he'd ride shotgun on. What a great dog and friend!

Just the name "Boomer" makes me feel the pain. Like said earlier, get yourself another friend. It does help fill the void.

Arrow Rest in Peace Boomer

Earl,

Very sorry for your loss, I cant bear to think of the day we lose our beloved Angel. My wife and I have no children, but our precious lovable boo boo bear as we nicknamed her is our pride and joy. I never imagined myself being so attached to an animal. I dont know how Im gonna feel when she goes, and her days are numbered Im sure. Shes a 12 1/2 year old Chocolate Lab named Coco Pebbles, and she too has many tumors all over her body. Thank God for now they are not malignant as the vet has told us. She truly is my best friend. She goes everywhere with me and is always there to warm our hearts and soul no matter what problems come our way. I call her my stress reliever, cause she truly is. Just one look at that face and a hug warms my spirits and melts my stress away. I grieve with you Earl, and I can totally relate to the bondess you had with your beloved Boomer. My sincere condolences to you thru these most difficult times.

Dan

Earl,
Having been down the same path several times with four legged members of the family, I know what you're going through. As trite as it sounds, time does have a way of healing things. Know that Boomer is still with you, just not in a physical sense.

Earl, I'm with you in your sadness. My Rani had a failed kidney and had to be put down in 2002. Now my current companion, Penny, is going to be 12 this year, and I'm looking at the same darkness all too soon. Remember the good times, and find a new companion as soon as possible. It eases the pain.

Earl,

I do love the name Boomer. I am deeply sorry about the loss of your companion. I have four dogs now and two are great danes and I must say, knowing that one of them has lived half his life at age four, makes me not want another dog. He is my biggest dog, and goes by the name Bongo. He is the only one out of the four that has German commands. I have always had dogs in my life yet, Bongo is my first great dane and he is the most treasured in our house. I hope your days get easier, and maybe another companion will come your way.

So sorry for your loss Earl - a dog can truly be man's best friend, and they ask so little in return. We brought back a German Shepard from Sicily that had adopted my wife. She had cancer over there and we had her operated on, but after just a few months here, we had to put her to sleep. Take care Earl.

Thank you for all of you posting your feelings. I know that most of you feel the same way I do about our beloved friends. To call them a dog or cat is an insult to them because they think of themselves as a member of the family. I know that mine do. Your post make me feel better and ease the pain. I will post a couple of my favorite pictures of Boomer. I do have another pup who is going to be very lonesome. She is another mini longhair doxie - age 6 and was always with Boomer. They were great friends.

One of my favorite pictures of the Boom Dog or Boomer.

I'm sorry too

While no dog will take Boomer's place in your heart and your home, another pup would create his own place there. Sarah would thank you too.
