4.44's in snow?

With a whole lot of people running 4.44 gears nowadays, has anyone noticed any difference in the snow? Any negative effects?

When you have to creep down a steep hill it holds you back more.
You do have more torque available so you have to be careful about wheelspin.

Tom, are any of your cars using a 4EAT with 4.44 gearing, or are they all manual?

Joe

Hi Joe.
We have two 4.44- 4EATs on the road and two 3.545 4EATS on the road.

A Pearlie 4.44 4EAT waiting for an engine, and a Teal waiting for a 4.44 4EAT.
Plus a couple of other 3.545s waiting for owners.

Try not to get all chatty with the gas pedal when momentum is on the side of the car with 4.44s in snow. Thats a rule for any car in the snow, but with a front heavy and newly extraordinarily torquey AWD car things get hairy quick unless you are quite used to AWD drifts to begin with. They are harder to feel out and correct for once you have gotten on the bad side of momentum.
