I still like the Murano's more. Anyone for their weight compared to RX-8s?

They look good but.... Murano wheels are off a jeep/fake-offroader. Unsprung weight is never an issue with these vehicle types. When they go for bigger or even standard alloys, weight of construction of the rim is considered an asset to defray possible off-road damage. The car is not going to be raced, so a lightweight wheel is not a consideration in the design brief. With no scales to back me up, I'm willing to bet the Murano wheel without tire is maybe 5 lbs heavier than the similarly un-attired RX8 wheel, which is off a sportscar. Joe

The Murano rims are noticeably heavier than stock. I would say roughly 5 pounds is about right. I will put it on a digital scale once I change my my rims back to stock for the winter.

Just wanted to bump this up for SVX Maxximus. Also wanted to note that 235-35-18 is probably closer to stock tire height than the 235-40-that I used. I have a 4.44 trans, and went with a little taller tire to bring the cruising RPMs down. Also, it was the only size relative to the stock size that Falken made with reinforced side walls.

The ride was stiffer, and it seems more energy from the bumps were sent to the cabin. I already had bad bump steer do to my failing rear struts, but it didn't much any worse with the larger rims.

That's interesting. Thanks.
You are probably correct about the acceleration. A bigger or heavier wheel has more mass. It will take more rotational energy to turn it. Therefore your drivetrain with the heavier wheels will absorb more of your engine torque output, a bigger percentage than with the lighter wheels. Result; it will accelerate more slowly. Joe
