Trans Cooler Upgrade
So are most of the cooler upgrades found (such as the svxmotorsport) direct swaps from the OE unit. Same fittings and mount - location ???

most aftermarket coolers are thin enough to fit between the radiator and condenser-- that's where I put mine. Some have mounted theirs to the lower inner fender with an electric fan to draw air through.

Tranny cooler
Check the How-to-Documents under transmission. I've got the B&M supercooler. It's to thick to be mounted vertically, but supposedly there's better airflow when you mount it as described in the How-to-Doc.

Typically 94+ have the different trans cooling system, so iwth a 96 you may not have any issues. I have a 94 with 129k miles and i'm trying to kill my tranny, but it just won't die. The 92-93 had a filtration system that was a bit to fine and got clogged, reducing cooling, causing over-heating, and killing trannys.

B&M all the way
Yeah, it's the B&M Supercooler, part # 70264. It looks just like the cooler in the How-to Doc, and mounts up the same way. It comes with everything needed to install, and I got mine from Dayle at SVX Motorsport. I think his price might have gone up a little since I bought mine, but it's a must have for SVX transmissions.

my 94 trans just died earlier this month. I have only had the B&M on for a year or so so all the damage was already done I have about 135000 on it. Gana have Bud replace it...once I can get it over there.
