Looks like the wires used to read or clear ECU codes, but mine don't have the plastic thingy. I don't recognize where this pic was taken. Would help if I knew the location of the wires.

Looks like the trunk, passenger side, behind the wheel. No idea what the connector does though.

I think you are right. That explains the water line.

Connector Loaction

Crazy_Pilot is correct.

I reasoned that if the location wasn't recognized, the function wouldn't be known.

Telephone

What year is it. Some of the newer models have a posibility of a cell phone hookup. I'm not sure, but that may be the connector for a cellular phone antenna.

I assumed as much, and that makes sense, and as obvious as the placement should be ( ) letting us know outright could help with investigation.

I have to say I like the cell/car phone idea.

Telephone

etz bseder is correct, or at least close.

In the manual this appears to be connector R74, Telephone (OP)

Now, what could we do with that?

Yeah it's for a phone, back in the old days, when they were the size of a Toaster Oven

IIRC it provides a constant +, switched + and a ground.

There are 4 wires, but I haven't looked at the wiring diagrams to see if they're listed.
