Shiggityblam part 3. Actually I lost count.

But I'm here now so none of that matters. You guys can rest easy.

A (properly functioning) garage door cannot damage the SVX spoiler.

Go ahead askmehowIknow.

Whoops. I haven't used one in so long I kinda forgot how.

Scope. There is a 94 Red SVX L (no amenities; leather, moonroof, wetbar, etc.) for sale in town, just under 8k dough, just over 80k miles, great condition, but no ABS.

If you are in Anchorage pick it up. I told the guy to hold it for me or a friend.

Umm... BAM BAM
BAM

What do you think of goldish/bronzish colored wheels under the dark teal? I'm thinking hot.

950 for the glass, and some 120 to install through Speedy. They came right to the dealer and hooked it up while Suby pulled a nail from one of my tires and changed the oil. Came to like $187 to get it out. Not too bad.

Ok I think I have a new world record.

First person to fall asleep under their SVX: Nikfu

Yeah, that nut ain't comin off...
I was hoping I could dream up some way to gack it off but no dice.

How fast was I going?

I guess you can say I went to a few this year. A winter rally, 2 solo autocrosses and a drag meet.

I have fallen asleep working on the svx. I was rudly woken by a falling wrench that hit me in the face... Not a good way to start your day

In the winter rally, I did worst, being the heaviest vehicle with the crappiest tires and least experience.
In the first auto-x I did fair. Same 3 variables. Went Off Course a lot.
Second auto-x I did much better. Would have gotten best time ( < 30 seconds) on Street Prepared were it not for a miscalculation on the very last turn. Too much speed, too much brake, not enough turn.
Grippy tires, better countering of body roll and a little less throttle would have put me in league with the more powerful (Corvette) and lighter (Elise, Miata) cars easily, and dropping times that day of around 25-28 seconds.
Maybe next year I'll be able to show off.

At the drag strip I pretty much lined up and gunned it. I might have tired out the engine by showing off how easily my front wheels burn. It wasn't so much power as it was brittling all-seasons with almost zero tread. My best time came from my first run, and they just got progressively worse despite shifting and brake torquing tricks and letting the engine cool. On my last run the manifold was practically room (outside) temp yet still ran like 15.76 or something. It doesn't seem like much but a tenth of a second is hard to get back.
Again, grippy tires are paramount.

OKAY FOR TODAY'S NEWS, I REPLACED THE GLASS of my right view mirror. That mess has been broken since before I got the car. $35 at Novus.
On the downside, I tried to shove a box in the rear seat and I ripped off some of the trim from the door where the driver's belt slides into.
Pretty sure it's broke. ):

Mine has mini DV and I've used it, but I want something that will transfer easily to hard disk.
