Going to check out an SVX on Monday

I am heading south the check out a very potential SVX on monday. Wish me luck, from what I understand the trans may need replacing but he does not sound the most mechanically inclined so I need to do a in depth evaluation I am so excited about this right now!!! I have always wanted a liquid silver.... oh wait did I say that out loud!! No i swear it is purple I mean bright purple with pink interior, nope not a silver, and it is not in pristene shape... nope nope nope it is none of those

Good luck Tom. Depending on how my modding goes with my SVX in the coming years, I may need to find a daily driver - I doubt it'll be another SVX, but maybe a sweet 5MT '99-'00 Impreza RS.

I will be leaving here around 430 this afternoon. I am gonna run from there back to my apt in philly. I can tell you guys what happens when I gte back. I have a feeling I will be picking this car up this upcomming weekend to undergo some stuff

Well, Looks like I will have another pony in the stable next week as long as I can find a trans. I would love to pick up a 4.11 trans but a stocker would be ok. The front diff in the car is about to grenade so I figure, just swap it out for a new trans instead of messing around with it. So hopefully I will go pick it up next weekend The car is absolutely beautiful and the interior is well kep as well. Under the hood could use some cleaning but thats about it. I am excited to get it

thanks guys. It was getting dark when I got there and it was starting to rain I will take pics when I go to get it I sent Ben a PM about borrowing both him and his trailer. I would rather trailer it home than drive it the 80+ miles on a ticking time bomb for a differential

Well all is seeming to come together quite nicely for this. I have talked to John and he only wants $100 for his stock auto and this guy only wants 1900 for the car. That means it will be a purchase of this beautiful silver for only 2k I still need think of how I am going to get it back to my house as I don't want to drive it that far... the diff has really deteriorated to the point where u can hear it at any speed above 10mph and running it at 55+ up 95 and the turnpike may cause it to explode in mid-route. I am in contact with benebob about borrowing both him and his trailer for saturday to make this happen. I will keep you all updated. This is all assuming this guy can get a dupe for the title by then.

I haven't talked to Ben at all today, but I know I can't help out this weekend.

If he can't help out, how about this; pull apart the CV on the outside of each 1/2 shaft, drop the shaft and DOJ and run it in RWD???

You already have plans to replace the trans so if you burn up the center diff is there any major loss??
