My First SVX Is Now Gone

On Sunday, March 20th Ciscokid drove off with my first SVX I have ever owned. Sad to see her go but happy that I now have a sweet true dual magnaflow exhaust compliments of Jesse(Subafreak). He dropped off a low mileage motor along with loads of new parts and mods at about noon time on saturday. Pining throughout the day I managed to reseal the engine. New oil and water pumps. New plugs and then put the engine into the awaiting car. Once the engine was in, the underdrive pulley was mounted, new alternator was placed in along with the all aluminum rad and silicone hoses he brought. He also had me hack up the old intake piping to make way for his aluminum straight pipe kit from motorsports. I alos put in Outlaw Engineering's phenolic spacers and painted the intake manifold matt black. Once all was said and done, I tried to start it and had a little mishap. The cam angle sensor was broken on the new motor and needed to be switched out to be able to start the car. Once started all the fluids in the trans and ps were filled and he was on his way home. I just heard back today that he made it with no problems and the car was running fine. I al glad to hear all worked out for him and I at the same time. Now that I am very sore and tired from working non-stop on the car so he could have it ready to the next day I must retire to writing 2 papers due at 8:40 tomorrow morning. then I will sleep a couple hours and get to class. Fran. have fun with my baby and take good care of her while u got her. Him and his brother and their significant others were a pleasure to meet and always welcome to come visit whenever, as long as he brings my baby with him Great to do business with you. and happy SVX'in.

Tom( Now i got money for the 5mt mods hahaha)

Tom,

Nothing like a weekend of hard work that paid off. Congrats on the sale and good luck with the 5MT mods...

I am sure that part of you left with your baby! It always seems to happen. Good luck with the new project.

thnx guys and earl, a peice of me is now gone with that car so i must now fill that void with 5mt action.
Tom, that was no walk in the park to do in 24hrs. Like i said, i can do your seals when u want. If u want to do them at reading that would be best for me.

Unfortunatley i won't be at reading this year because i need to stay around here that weekend to take care of stuff. As for my oil leak....the oil level is still at full and im not seeing any drips or anything anymore for some reason. I have no idea why this would happen but hey im not complaining. Now i can save up at my leisure for the seals and belt and water pump....I will let you know way in advance though...that way we can work somethin out

That explains why you don't sell any of yours

If you lose a part of yourself when you sell your SVX does the buyer get that piece? If so then you must be getting pretty big!

Good to hear you guys got everything together and working on time and without to much incident. How do you like the looks of the exaust system? I think your gonna like the way it sounds anyway, it's pretty bad ass. My new system is kinda quite and not as deep, but I guess I was going for quiter...or something You gonna get it on for Reading?

i will have it on by next week. Trying real hard for good wheather to paint in, this weekend was primo but i was a little busy. That exhaust looks absolutely amazing. I am looking for deep more than loud but I will take both. I really need to loosen up the top end in my car as it chokes out too early. I have a ton of extra parts and sensors off the extra motor if you or any one else needs them. Of course you can get them for free as you hooked me up with that speed sensor and a sweet exhaust. Are we still on for the tranny xmember at reading? I could use it. as long as it is for the lagacy trans cable activated clutch. well let me know if u need anything jesse i would love to repay you for the things you have done for me.

Tom, at Reading you can do my SS brake lines!

Sorry to chime in so late on this thread but I have to say: Tom is one heck of a mechanic. He did super work and the car drove like a champ all the way home. Nearing Hartford I had an S4 drive by me in quite a hurry and I decided to mess with him a bit...the SVX did well, even with FWD

Jesse...I need to hook up with you on specifics of that exhaust system...my buddy owns his own shop and I want to have him make me an exhaust. I look forward to hearing it on Tom's car at Reading.

Hope to see many of you in PA!

Thats a good idea. It seem I may be running a clinic on many mods for the SVX at reading. I will do my tranny xmember if possible, I will do the SS brake lines and pads on Ciscokid's car. I will also show everyone how the shop manuals I am selling work. If anyone else needs something done and want to make an example of your car, let me know. I will be there for saturday only. I am not going to stay overnite as it will cost me too much money I do not have at the moment.

Damn, Tom your a crazy mofo, personally I take Reading as a vacay, "no car work unless it's an emergency"

As of right now it's not looking like I'm gonna have a X-member for you by then, I just can't get the parts I need. I have to make one to bring to Mike at Reading but he sent me the parts for his. Chris is still suppost to send me the parts from his car to make another one but he seems to be having problems with his car.

Cisco: Reading will definitlly be a great place to listen to some exaust systems and decide what you like.

Thats fine Jesse take ur time i am in no hurry.
My hobby is working on cars, i do not want to do it for a living cuz i saw what happened to my buddy who is a mech. He hates working on cars anymore especially his own. I love it cuz i do work for myself and my family. Ciscokid got lucky because i needed to get rid of the car. I would like to educate anyone looking to do their own work. I have saved myself countless thousands of dollars by doing my own maint. repairs and mods. So anyoen who wants to learn how to do something that they don't know how, I will try and do it at reading.
1. SS brake lines and pads for ciscokid
2. Exhaust donut and bolt kits to fix those nasty exhaust leaks.Ciscokid's car
