Alternator Belt

The belt tensioner bearing decided to give up on me. So until I get a replacement is there any belt size that I can fit temporarily without the tensioner. Like from the pulley to the PS pump and to the Alt., or maybe just from the pulley to the alternator?

You should be able to get the belt from any automotive store. It's unfortunate that the belt is not used on any other engine so it will not be available everywhere.

Part #15 is a washer.
If you need the bearing just go to a place that sells bearings and get a 6301 with seals on both sides.
I need the same bearing.
I got it on order at work for $5.00

as for the belt
I checked on napa's web site and the belt is the same as the one on a 95-98 legcay.

Help! Charging problems

My beast died on me today. Wouldn't even light up dash or turn over until jumped. Noticed the headlights wavering in intensity at idle. First thought "batterys gone". Then saw lights and am wondering if it is voltage regulator or alternator. The 60,000 mile service was performed by an idiot (didn't replace wheels that tension belts) and I'm ready to do the 90,000 even though I just turned 80,000. My SVX is a "92...advice would be appreciated.
Thanx,
WGJ

I'm betting on voltage regulator.

Check the alternator as well. That might be the cause of the dead battery.
