lol i would cringe the day "pimp'd my ride" ever mentions ANY subaru.. much less an SVX... i doubt they'd touch it though... to "nice" of a car originally to be trashed completely... i would hope.. plus they can't bolt on a full massive body kit.. which gives me hope they won't touch one

Wow, they turned a 240SX into a red X!!1! Those bastages!

Honestly, as much as I hate to admit it, I have thought about trying to get my XT6 on there. I'd love to have the drivetrain restored, and have a decent repaint and interior. But I know that's not their thing. So I'd just eBay it, and get myself a normal 2.5RS or WRX or somthing like that.

yeah the one thing that really irks me about that show.. is a car will come in with major drivetrain/engine problems... and i think they've only replaced the actual engine once, when it completely broke down.. normally they just poor oil in the same POS and then run 5000 watts off the stock alt. i'm amazed the car gets all the way home without sucking the battery(s) dry...

that show where the fake steal the car is cooler! now THATs a full restoration

They also made a ford escort into a europeon BMW. They put so much useless BS in those cars. Pimp my ride is a nice concept but most of the time they do it a lil over the top. Whow ants a damn fishtank in their backseat? I also never understood the point of TV monitors in the trunk. All those people who own the cars dont look like they have alot of money....whats gonna happen when something in their pimped out ride breaks lol.

You mean Rides with Chip Foose? I don't like that one much better, cause Foose is an A-hole. Last time I watched that, he did some woman's early 60's Vette that her late father gave her for high school gradutation, but it had deteriorated badly. They had her on camera saying how much she wanted it repainted Corvette red. Foose refused, because he didn't like red Vettes. What a dick. Plus, I really don't like the paint schemes and wheels he uses, just a little too ricer-esque for my tastes in a classic.

Yeah, I saw that POS too. What a waste of a BMW front clip. And the M-B tailtights probably cost more than the car itself did.

The only finished car on that show that I've remotely liked was the surfer dude's VW Microbus. That was about the closest thing to a restoration that they've done.

Yup, Overhaulin, thats what I was thinking of, not Rides. Never saw the Camaro, though. I've only seen 3-4 episodes of it, and I can't even remember which ones I saw, only that I didn't care for Foose's designs or attitude.

Hey, my drug habits are not the point of discussion here. Start another thread for that, if you want.

When it comes to classics, I just usually like designs that are closer to the original, like white and hugger orange Camaros, black and gold T/A's, Plum Crazy Purple and flat black Cudas, and red Corvette's. But hey, to each their own.
