Hi

Am from the Washington, D.C. area and just signed on tonight.

I've got a '92 Pearlie loaded with the touring package (LS-L) that I bought in late September of this year in Baltimore, where I work. It's got 78,850 miles on it as of this writing, about 5,000 more than when I bought it.

Richard

Thumbs up

Welcome "over here", Richard. We've exchanged electronic pleasantries in the past. (I'm tsutsuhund "over there"). Go to the General Babble section & introduce yourself to everyone. Then go to the Meets section & check out the Reading thread. Then go anywhere you want to. You'll find this outfit very accomodating!
Best wishes, Ron.

Richard, welcome. So glad to "see" you. We hope you enjoy it at the "Network." We are strictly a very serious group of people who stick with the facts and only talk about the technical aspects of the SVX.

Now, since I have you convinced of how serious and technical we are . . . would you like to buy a bridge?

Welcome aboard!!!

Rich,

Glad to see you made it over here. Listen, if you come to the Reading Meet, I'll have an SVXer from NYC bring down real bagels & I'll bring cream cheese. Now where can I get a 12V toaster?

Good to see you here, too. May have to add an extra hour to my day to keep up with all the SVX-ers in two places. If I go away on two-weeks holiday without a computer, it'll take me a week to catch up on everything!

The Reading meet seems as if it might be do-able. I would like to meet you and some of the others. Olu and I already have met, of course, since he lives in Silver Spring, like me. And we both have '92 Pearlies.

SSSVX:

Yep, it's me -- Richard C.

My error. It was a tranny mount, not an engine mount. Made a clunking noise when I shifted into reverse. Mechanic said it was a tranny mount -- $210, parts and labor (and rags).

Yeah, one could spend hours SVXing both here and on the Yahoo site.

My Pearlie is doing great, so far. I'm seriously considering installing an auxilliary cooler, probably next month. Already priced it at a tranny place at between $150 to $200. Sounds as if that's a good investment, considering the cost of a new tranny. Guy there says he's familiar with the SVX.

Hey, cool.

What year SVX do you have? How long have you had it. Where do you live/work in Baltimore?

hey Ron,
i would still sell it if I get a buyer. My car doens't HAVE TO sell because it's running fine and I am using it. It's just I don't like to pay that much insurance. let me know if somebody wanna buy one. I am selling it for $4000.
By the way, I am not sure if I saw a SVX or what becuase it was too dark, but does your car have those two little blue light on hood??

Ravi:

How many miles on it? Why is your insurance so high? Are you under 25?

You're probably headed to College Park in the morning as I'm tooling up I-95 to Baltimore from Takoma Park. We should try to get together with Olu, who has a '92 Pearlie and lives in Silver Spring. I also have a '92 Pearlie, mine with 79,200 on the clock. It's running great.

No blue lights on MY hood! But watch out for those "SVXes" with red & blue lights on the roof.
Ron.
