Unless SVXtasy is going to be using a g-tech, I seriously doubt he'll be posting any 1/4 mile times. I remember either a prior post or maybe in a PM, he mentioned that he wasn't planning on taking his car to the dragstrip ever after the turbo upgrade was done. It'd be nice if he does have some g-tech results though...

If so, then I'd go with Bill and predict something in the low 14's as his set-up hasn't been tuned thoroughly yet...

personally

I think its wonderful the 2 items have come together on such a great car, but Im more concerned about what the longer term
effect is going to be like, and how the cars running 6 months
from now.
Its neat to see another Turbo Svx, but at 4-5 psi I wouldnt
expect more then 40-50 hp gain.
Having it on hand all the time would be nice
Overall cost my guess wont be cheap

I still see a nitrous kit in my future in place of a turbo kit
But I really hope in the long run the motor can handle
at least 5 psi for a few yrs.
Just for the "nice work" factor Im happy to see whats been done so far on his car. And its so close, I may have to drive over and see it sometime if he doesnt get here first

I sent you a PM. It should be in your PM box here on the site. Your email address has a 'www' in it. Is that the way it's supposed to be?

Hi all
I wish that I could post better news but, the car will not start. It will turn over but that is it the check engine light does not come on nor do the RPMs come up. Listing to the injectors with a stethoscope while the engine is turning over there is no clicking. So I think it has something to do with the ECU or the power to the ECU. I have just had about the worst weekend of my life and the car not working was not even half of it. so I am sorry I will be getting back up there Tuesday I am going to try to get a cheep ECU form a junk yard or try to barrow one to make sure that is the problem. If any body has any ideas I would love some feed back.
Thanks SVXtasy

I'll bet there are several people who can come up with an ECU. Anyone near him? Quick, we've got to get him running!!

I've got one I could loan, but I'm 2000 miles away. I guess I could mail it if you want. I bet someone else could mail one they could part with.

Sorry to hear about your weekend, SVXtasy. Things will pick up.

Dang! I'm sorry to be reading this budd. This sucks! If all else fails, go to car-part.com and order yourself another ECU for cheap. I've ordered 4 different ECU from different salvage yards there for personal testing. Delivery was fast (2 days) from all the yards I've ordered from. Good luck!

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I wouldn't be surprised if the problem is something simple. I'd have the shop check every electrical connection making sure everything was hooked up properly after your car's 'surgery'.

True. Unless they accidentally fried the ECU somehow, it's very unlikely it just "went bad" while sitting there for that period of time. So my first guess would be wiring or some electrical bug somewhere.

Instead of getting an ECU from someone else, I'd test your ECU on another car if possible. Because if the issue is that it got fried, the loaner ECU may run the same luck in your car.

Do a controlled test first (your ECU in a car you know hasn't been touched by a performance tuning shop). If it's dead then, you should be weary of plugging in a new ECU until you get everything checked for proper connection and voltages etc.

Just a suggestion to avoid further complications.
