Thanks. I knew some cars had that feature, but I didn't know if the SVX did.

I'll need to find an AC tensioner picture, but I didn't find anything that said "hi, I'm the AC tensioner in the box. I did find what apeared to be a new-ish water pump and timing belt sprockets, a busted camshaft, 2 busted valve covers, and a bunch of loose stuff. Did the engine you got come with an intake manifold? I didn't get one, but I did get plenty of little broken things, the heads themselves might be OK, but I cant say for sure yet... I dont think I got anything that bolts to the block other than some ignition coils.

Yes, it did come with an intake manifold. They were supposed to have transfered over the water pump and other new stuff, but it's possible the other engine had some newish components.

For the A/C tensioner, look here:

It's labled "Spacer-idler pulley."

Karl, have you done anything more with the engine yet? I'm still curious to find out what really happened.

The "new" engine continues to perform! It had no problem on the 2-day trip from CO to PA at the end of last week, even though my car was loaded with as many of my belongings as possible while barely leaving enough room to comfortably accomodate me. (That included my bike on its trunk-mounted rack.)
