What's that hose?
I was cleaning up the engine the other day when I realized a hose protuding from the passenger side firewall. It appears to be leaking water onto my primary cat, which is already rusted on the edges where the water has been dripping on it. So what is the purpose of the hose? I need to move it somehow so it won't leak on my exhaust any more.

Yeah ACC drain.
When the ACC is cooling down the air, it also "dry's" it, and the water is collected and drained. But you CAN re-route it /Sonny

If you've never driven your car in the rain, nor on a salted road, then I might agree that the A/C condensation is the culprit. Really, it's a negligilbe amount of water, compared with a single short drive on a wet road. But as Sonny pointed-out, you can always re-route the flow from the drain if you think it'll make a difference.

I understand what you are saying, and I would agree with you more except for the fact that when I was cleaning the engine, I could visibly see water dripping on the cat. And the cat isn't rusted at all where that water hasn't hit it; I can definitely see where the water has dripped down on the cat and rusted it. So I will be rerouting it.
