Lost my PS ...
I was driving home on Sunday , came to my fav. curves, and when entering the second one ... NO PS ...!!
I was really struggeling with the steering wheel but managed to get through the curve. Drove very slowly home and noticed lot's of smoke from under the hood when I stopped. Checked under the hood and could se lot's of ATF sprayed under the engine. Have not checked further, but I suspect either a broken highpressure pipe or some sealing in the steering rack. If it is the steering rack, has anyone here replaced broken rack sealings? /Sonny (ayatollah of lost controll'ah )

I would bet it is either the high pressure line or the return line that went. I have had both go before and the same thing happened. I would think that it would be a hose and not the rack. Hope it is a hose, which is an easy fix.

You will want to clean the oil up and add some fresh stuff to help determine the source of the leak. Many have seen the high pressure line fail. I've also seen the low pressure line come loose and almost fall off.

The return hose on mine failed. It sucked - the car was really hard to steer.

Today I checked it out, it WAS the return line hose clamp that had come loose!
The hose had popped off and drained all the oil. I just replaced the clamp with a better one and tightened it up. Now it works just fine Thanx for all reply's /Sonny (Ayatollah of regained controll'ah )
