Great new Magazine w/ SVX metion

Car and Driver has put out a new magazine called BOOST. If you havn't read it I recommend it. It is an import tuner mag, but it is better then all the others I've read. It's more tech than anything else.

There is an article in it about a WRX Drag team. In the article it says "At the end of theseason, the team moved to an automatic transmission derived from the heavy-duty four-speed unit used in the barely remembered, defiantly eccentric 1992-97 Subaru SVX coupe (which featured a 230 hp 3.3-liter flat-six and weighed more than 3600 pounds)

Ya hear thatwe're eccentric...... So obviously our trannys have potentic. The drag team was breaking the 10-second barrier.

Re: oops

I looked over the mag the other day. Pretty cool layout and I can see why the revised format would appeal to some younger readers, but I prefer my regular C&D anyday... (btw I'm 26)

I gave up on the american car magazines a few years back. They all seem to be just one big advertisement. Currently I have a subscription to OCTANE. This is a sports car magazine from across the pond. The articles seem to be a bit more technical and there are both old and new cars in it. Some racing stuff too.

I'll never go back to Car and Driver, Road and Track, and the like. I also refuse to watch Car and Driver TV ever since the guy with the really deep voice left the show. The new voice of the show just pisses me off.

OMG that new guy is so annoying. He's like always yelling. It's almost impossible to watch.
