SVX Sightings

This morning I brought our Outback into Rafferty Subaru in Newtown Square, PA for service.
I saw 2 SVXes there for service.
The first one was a pearly, and the second one was a teal colored SVX. Both had PA plates. The one on the pearly was a vanity plate that read "BUZZ-OFF."
I left a Network windshield note on each car.
I hope they decide to join us.

Saturday morning I saw the 2 SVXes.
Sunday morning I saw (in order of appearance)
Chrysler Maserati TC
Austin Healy
Cadillac Allante
Buick Reatta

I saw an old Lotus yesterday too.

I had a sighting tonight! Right here about a 5 miles from my house. I have seen the usual two that have been here since '92 but this one is black. I saw the same car a few weeks ago at a radiator shop for a few days but never had a cahnce to stop. I saw it driving tonight!

I was sitting there thinking, that sure is a good looking car, it took me a second to realize that it was an SVX.

I wish one day I could have the chance to make it to a meet or actually get to talk to one of these owners. Awhile back (three weeks or so..) I met another member to check out there car that they were selling. It seemed odd to me to see another one. But he was selling his and I offered too little for it because of the shape it was in and I think that offeneded him. But it was nice while the moment lasted.

Was coming off the interstate on my way home Thursday and recognized the rear end in front of me (I follow svxfiles enough to spot an SVX rear end from miles away). I immediately called Tom (svxfiles) and asked him if the car or plate number was familiar (he remembers every car he ever sold) and he said no, he didn't know who it was. So I, being an SVX fanatic, followed the car until it stopped (fortunately, it was only about 1/4 mile past where I would have turned off anyway) and pulled up alongside. A nice older gentleman got out, and I struck up a conversation with him about the car. As it turns out, he bought the car new in '96 from the dealership where Tom worked, but from another salesman. And, here's where it gets weird, the guy had just had his car at the local Subaru garage that day for repairs and the garage borrowed two parts from Tom's parts car to fix this gentleman's car!

I told him that I would convey to Tom that his parts went to a good home, asked him if he was a web-surfer (he was not) and mentioned our little '"family" (he didn't seem interested), introduced myself and bid him a good evening. I feel I did my part to spread the joy of SVX ownership.

At 3:00 PM I sighted a pearly SVX traveling south on rte. 202 in Tallyville, DE. I was going the other way in our Outback.

this weekend i also saw a cadillac allante, which i think is pretty rare in colorado. i think it's the first one i've seen in the 21st century. i also saw a delorean. and how many SVXs did i see? zero!

You know, it has probably been five years since I have seen a caddy allante, and this weekend I saw two for sale. TWO and guess how many SVXi? You guessed NONE!

I hate being way out here all by my lonsome!

when i think of the allante, i can't help but think about the married with children episode with kelly bundy's bouncing breasts.
