Here ya go Randy. There's a selection menu to drop on the Editors. http://www.motortrend.com/corporate/contact/index.html
I'd suggest we maintain some dignity and decorum. Glenn

Of course that was strictly tongue in cheek Randy! I think you'd be the logical spokesperson for the rest of us believers. I've started to write a couple of times and ......well.......I don't think they'd print what I had to say! Since the first and last things I would state are that I have never........and never will subscribe to their rag when there are so many superior pubs out there to read.
Come to think of it, not sure I gas what they had to say anyway! I think it wasn't so much what he had to say by way of reply as the way he said it. After all it was their error that prompted the writer to begin with. Must be just another sign of advancing age that I expect civility and stepping up when you're in the wrong. Glenn

Randy, I wish I could comply, but I read the article at the Raley's magazine stand and didn't purchase the issue. It was the March issue and a reader from, I believe, Long Island, wrote to point out their erroneous referral to the "SVR" in a Subaru article in the December issue. Of interest, the writer had his Laguna Blue ride stolen and is still looking for a suitable replacement. After pointing out that there is still a sizeable and active SVX community that appreciates the car for it's many merits, and admonishing them for the error, the Editor replied that he was the only one of the multitude they had heard from and he was right and they stood corrected.

92 FS... Here's my reply to the reply: I know I speak for the devoted SVX owners when i say thank you for acknowledging the "SVX" correction in your March issue. As one of the 1000's of loyal SVX owners, we pride ourselves in sustaining a rare example from a quirky marque. We are currently on our second SVX in 11 years and hope to keep it as long as practicable. Last edited by JeffN; 02-16-2004 at 06:06 PM. |

Here's my letter to "Mr. Ed."
Dear Ed, In your March letters to the editor, you replied to a gentleman who had corrected your reference to the Subaru SVX as the "SVR" by snidely saying that he was the only one of the "multitude" of SVX owners from whom you had heard. As President of the SVX World Network, I represent the greater portion of that "multitude" and am here to explain why you haven't heard from more of us. After praising the car to the rafters after its release, your magazine (as well, as I must admit, all the others) abandoned this automobile as a dismal mistake, never to be spoken of again. So, in truth, why should we read your magazine, if you are not going to write about our cars? Yes, like so many others, you not only dump us, but you can't even remember our name. SVR, indeed. There are more of us than you think and we're located throughout the world. Proof, you say? Come visit us: http://www.subaru-svx.net. I'm sure our members would be HAPPY to correct your misconception of our numbers. Sincerly, Randy Johnson President SVX World Network
