Whats up with this?

My wheels were like that when i bought mine too, and it seems like there's a lot of people with their wheels on backwards. Are some people (as in the people at discount tire, etc.) really that stupid when they put the wheels back on? Isn't there a little L and R on the wheels anyways? Or is there some logic to this...

When the stores/people rotate the tires, they dont realize that the wheels are directional, and they go about the standard rotation procedure: Front left -> back right...etc.

There is a L on the left side rims, but no R on the right side rims.

Yeah there is. Even if they know that wheels are directional,

a) they think they know better (I have argued more then enough times and explained to them about directional tyres and rims and which is which).

b) they don't care. (Even after I've explained to them what I wanted to do, they often (75%) will do what they normally do -- in which case, they have to take it off and put it back where it belong because I am not going to leave and pay them unless they do it right).

c) They get paid at 8 bucks an hour and they have better things to do.

I actually gave the tech at the tire shop a compliment because, wtihout my showing or telling him, he rotated and placed the wheels on correctly the first time.

That's not happened before.
