S2000
Well I drove an S2000 today it is a friend’s car. It was allot of fun, allot different then I thought it would be. Very nice car. Not to bash it or anything but it did not feel as fast as I thought it would be. Don’t get me wrong it is a very quick car but just not fast. I did not get to check out the handling of the car but I hear the handling is top notch. So it is hard to make a full assessment on it. Call me crazy but i would not ever give my SVX up for one.

I get the distinct impression that you have to enjoy the S2000 in a very specific way. You have to keep the engine singing at 8krpm at all times to really have fun with it, I understand.
But I'm sure, if you're into that, that it's a lot of fun.

That is what I have heard. It can be pretty darn fast and a great racing machine, but those revs have to stay up REAL high all the time. I guess it also practically takes a pro to really drive it like it is meant to be driven... and a "regular" driver could lose it pretty easy if they push it without the experience to know how to control drifts and some crazy clutch control.
I wouldn't mind driving one to see what it is like, but I still don't like the fact that it is so small with only a 4 cylinder that needs outrageously high revs to perform REAL well. The engineering is pretty ingenious... but I'd take a nice V8 or turbo 6 with gobs of low-end torque instead, any day. Hopefully, once complete, you're SVX will out-perform an S2000 (among others), SVXtasy.

its a freakin' motorcycle engine! no low end torque = no fun, IMHO.

It suffers the same way all honda products do: NO TORQUE. Hence why I was able to spank Civic Sis, Integra GSRs, and what not in my base model 'old car' with only 132hp.

It's one of my favorite cars. Given different economic circumstances, I'd have one.

1. no torque 2. No personality 3. BORRRRIINNNNGGGG 4. The screwed up the integra and made that ugly FAT TALL SQUATTY turd RSX 5. They screwed up the old civic SI and made that UGLY FAT TALL SQUATTY turd Civic SI. 6. They're slow 7. Only like 1% of the modded ones are anywhere near fast. 8. Go to an import show. After seeing approximately 272,948 Hondas you'll get sick of them. - Rob |

space
the problem is, for any big man its really cramped in an S2000. That and Hondas are just a thing to get one place to another, nothing else. Also, they're the ultimate ricer car. hate ricers, hate boring cars, hate hondas. but thats just my opinion, so I'll keep quiet about it and stick with my SVX.

I can honestly say that the S2000 is a very tight car. I'm 5'9 and 135 and I thought it was a little cramped and very enclosing. I'm pretty thin and I thought it was too small. It's a nice car though I like it in terms of style.
