Unhappy Almost 100,000 miles

My car has 700 miles before it turns 100,000 miles old. I plan to put on a tranmission cooler, can you guys recommend a website where I can find a good cooler that fits perfectly?
The other thing I wanted to ask was what do you recommed I do to my car when it turns 100,000miles? what type of tune-ups?
should I do the spark plugs? if so which type are worth it?
thanks guys

Almost at 100k

You realize that you do need to go 100mph for the 100k celebration don't ya?

As for the tranny cooler www.summitracing.com sells quite a few that should work for ya. I have a B&M 19,000gvw 3/4" cooler between my condens and rad. I see temps that will just keep going up above 200 degrees in stop and go traffic and some large long mountaions but cruised decently on the highway (140-170). In the winter it rarely gets up past normal op. temp which is about 140. Usually around 120-130. I'd recommend a gauge to so you know when your frying the ATF. I have a norsdouq???? digital gauge (green almost matches the color of the svx's lights) with the sender in my pan. Others recommend it elsewhere which is probably easier too.

As for plugs NGK all the way baby. 1. They are what Subaru recommends, 2. They are fairly cheap, 3. I've never had an issue with one in any of my Subarus. Bosch always seem t increase the boxer hesitation to me.

Do some searching on the sight you'll come up with a weath of info on both though questions though. Congrats on the milestone. Be sure to register it in the Subaru High Mileage Club!

Gets that hot in the pan too? What's the highest you have seen?

Highest was 215 but only b/c I stopped and let it cool a bit otherwise it would've still climbed I'm sure. It was last summer in the 100 degree hot humid days just before Lafaytte. Got up there quick when I autoxed in last month. 75 degree day then. It did get up to the 205 range 2 weekends ago when I went to Johnstown. There's a big mountain you gotta go over and after staying in the 160 range the whole trip it climbed up and I was just thankful to see the top. I even dropped it to 3rd for the hill so it wouldn't hunt through the gears. It wasn't like I was driving like a mad man either.

You know, you're the first one I've "read" that has their sender in the pan...did you get a fitting with the sender that you just welded in? I'm almost ready to buy a new pan so I can experiment with adding fins to it for more cooling (okay, so maybe they won't do a thing due to the lack of airflow...) and I might as well do the sender mod at the same time. I was going to just add the sender to the PermaCool filter housing, but I'm thinking our temp concern should really be at the trans itself.

p.s. do you have the URL for the Subaru High Mileage Club?

over 100k

The sender was done by a local shop. It looks like they took off the pan, drilled a hole and welded a fitting onto the inside of the pan then used a bunch of tar like stuff on the outside to make sure it sealed. I've had no problems with it in the year or so its been on.
