Question Touch Up Paint

Someone recommended me to PaintScratch.com for touch up paint. I ordered it and used it today...It's been a few hours and it's still this silver gray color and my car is black mica. I'm feeling kind of nervous now. Does anyone know anything about this product?

No, I don't, but your post certainly doesn't read like an endorsement.

I went to the dealer for my touch-up paint. It wasn't expensive and matched.

Well, I don't mean to trash talk the product, I am just concerned. Right now I see silver-esque splotches all over. They say they custom match it. The site sounds detailed and since someone from here recommended it, I was sure it would come out right.
Hopefully it changes as it dries.

It should be dry enough by now. Perhaps they just sent you the wrong color.

I ordered paint form paintscratch. com for mu 96 Polo Green. I ordered the small bottles of color and clearcoat and also the paint pens. The match was absolutely perfect!!!

With your order they send you a silver card to apply the paint to. Yhold it against your card up against your car to check the color match prior to actually applying.

They are a very reputable company have a satisfaction guarantee. I would call them and explain your situation and I am sure they will rectify it to your satisfaction. Be sure to give them the color code and your VIN. Its probably just a mismatch of some kind. Their phone number is 775-831-9493.

Here is the link to the returns page and pertinent info:

I have a small bottle of claret touch up paint from the dealer. It is very thick and unusable.

What can I add to thin it down? Regular paint thinner?

Thanks
Tapper

The paint I got from PaintScratch matches my teal beautifully... once the clearcoat is applied. (Next time, though, I'll probably opt for a brush applicator over the felt-tipped marker things.)

I would be very interested how this turns out. I bought touch up paint twice from the dealer and both times it was dried out and unusable. I recently ordered from paintscratch.com, but haven't used it yet.

Again, I dealt with Paintscratch back and forth through email and after reaffirming the VIN, they assured me that the colors matched. They had me send them a sample of the paint on the silver card and I never got a response about it. They albeit ignored me. So, I still need touchup paint as the back of my car has a dent that needs to be popped out and filled in. Any suggestions?

Is it possible that your car's paint is not the original ebony?

My dad has tried numerous places to get paint for his triumph, this being one of them. They sent him metallic paint! EEK! Good thing he didn't use it, it would have been terrible. His car still has the original lacquer. I don't think he ever tried to do anything about it. Getting it color-matched somewhere seems to be the only solution for him.

I used paint from paintscratch.com and it was a PERFECT match to the factory color!

I always recommend them.

There was only one real owner before me..Some doctor who garaged it the whole time he owned it...It's black mica (with the lil red specks of paint in it).

I'm still interested in getting touch up paint for my car in either spraycan form and possibly like a nail polish bottle. Anyone have suggestions? Does the touch up have the red flecks in the ebony paint? Thanks.

no luck here either.

I bought a bottle (polo green) for subaruparts.com and it was dried up, I asked for another and it came dried up... I gave up. I figured they're weren't any around since the color is disco'd.
