Power Steering leak question
my car blew the rubber line, above the trans, should I replace all of my lines?
whats the likely hood I blew my pump out, I only drove three miles, not knowing she went dry, and turned into the driveway, she was groaning pretty loud=( where are the rest of the lines? are they pre formed hoses or can I use bulk? |

Re: Power Steering leak question
There are 4 solid pre bent- lines Subaru OEM only (.OR YOU CAN MAKE THEM) connected to the rack they range from $100+ down to $30.00 or so . a few are a real PITA to change. i drove 3 miles with mine to the Subi dealer and the steering wheel was almost impossible to turn at times and my pump was fine .

Re: Power Steering leak question
The line you speak of is a low pressure line, which you can replace with bulk hose. The high pressure lines though need to be either replaced in their entirety with OEM parts or be refitted with new fittings and reused.
