recommendation?

Does anyone know a garage that is knowlegeable, trustworthy, and reliable that can repair SVX in the San Diego/North County area? The dealership price is too high for me.

Thanks
BB

Re: recommendation?

I'm too far away to know these kind of things. It is difficult to get a trustworthy engineer who knows the SVX.

Just in case you missed it you could ask the guys planning to attend the So Cal Museum Meet. The thread link is HERE

Post your question on the thread for response, or alternatively, send a PM [use the Private Message function on the top right] individually to the guys who are going to attend. Some of them are sure to know a good garage in the area and they are all helpful people.

Also maybe sign up for the Meet? They would love to see you there on one of the days?

Joe

Re: recommendation?

That's a long haul south from me, but I've been going to a mechanic in Van Nuys (north LA basin) for the last few months and have had decent work done. Hopefully you'll find one a hundred miles closer, but if not I can give you a referral. There's also apparently an import mechanic attached to Costa Mesa R&D although I can't seem to find a link now. If you don't know CMRD, try searching here and YouTube as that guy has done some pretty serious EG33 builds. I've never done business with them, but at least when it comes to engine internals that guy knows his stuff.

Good luck, and you should sign up for the museum meet. The more, the merrier.

Re: recommendation?

I see you have added to the list. Brilliant!

That's a guaranteed fun meeting. I'm deeply jealous as I can't go but I hope you all enjoy it.
