Car dies shifting into reverse...

As the title says, my car dies intermittently when shifting from park into reverse. Are there any obvious causes for this? I'm going to get my battery checked today to make sure that it is OK and I know my alternator works. The car does fine just sitting there in park so my guess is that the transmission is the culprit (maybe it's too hard of a shift?).

check to see if your air filter is properly attached first. is there a check engine light on? does your power light blink when you start the car?

Battery is good, air filter is good, no CEL's. Power light flashes due to bad dropping resistor. I've had the engine die shifting into reverse with the dropping resistor being both good and bad though, so that's not the culprit.

Sounds like your losing line pressure when selecting gears.

i have this problem a couple months ago, i checked everything and come to find out my MAF wasnt connected all the way in...
