new vehicle
some of you may remember me saying awhile ago that i (my parents, IppoJ here on the forums is stepdad) were plannning on getting a BMW e30
there was the one in missouri we drove out to look at that ended up not being worth it...but weve been searching and finally found the one! its a 1987 BMW 325is, black, with about 142,xxx miles, 5 sp manual... the car is in PA and was just recently put on the truck to be shipped here ETA is thursday or friday (Dec. 18 or 19) here is a link to the "for sale" thread of the car on bimmerforums http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum....php?t=1127905 for those of you who might be about ready to get on me for giving up the SVX for the e30, it is to my understanding that the SVX will remain in our possesion and be used as a winter car (ill let IppoJ chime in on his exact plans) i will post pictures when the car is in my hands but for those who are interested in seeing it, there are pictures taken by the seller on the link above

Re: new vehicle
Nice, I put some serious miles on a black on black '88 325is, wore what was left of the suspension out, rebuilt everything...that was a fast car not in a straight line, but in the twisties, turns out mine had some chassis problems, so it will become a race car, and all that suspension work will go into my new '92 325i cabriolet These cars are fun, but not so much in the wet, much sharper response than the SVX, a nice compliment, I miss mine, but I'll build a 1991 2 door soon, with 5 lug, engine, transmission, and whatever else I can fit from a 1997 M3 under it e30 is hard to beat, I'm kinda like Earl with them 6 so far, more on the way.

Re: new vehicle
Very nice lookin car. My brother-in-law has a 1974 2002 4 speed that he's had since high school-he's 28 now. Now that is one sweet car.
Congrats on the purchase. |

Re: new vehicle
decent but I'm still pretty shocked you would opt bmw over svx.
ultimately your choice and to your liking, which is all that matters and at least you get to keep the SVX around when you miss it.

Quote:
the svx is no cheap car and ours is requiring more and more work...and the $ adds up believe it or not, bmw parts (at least for this car) are cheaper and there are more of them available so, if i had the ability to pour lots of money into the svx i would definitely keep it, but sadly that is not the case
