Front Stablizer Link Adjustment

There is an oval shaped slot where the front stablizer link attachs to the strut. The manual does not refer to any adjustment procedure, but it must make some difference whether it's mounted high, low or in between. Any knowledge about this?

I don't believe there is any true guidance on this. I'd suggest just going with the same location for both sides.

There's only a small amount of adjustment and it won't make a difference. It will be quite noticeable if it's not tightened properly. After I bought mine found out the nut was loose. Would make a nasty "POP" sound as the bolt slid in the hole. Was driving me nuts, first it would pop turning left...then again when I turned right...and so on.

This would be to allow for manufacturing tolerances.

With the car on level ground and no load within the car, tighten things up in a position where there is no torque load on the bar. If you drive most of the time on your own and wish to get all fancy. You could set it with driver in place.

When the links are loose enough to move:

If the car is in the air, no load on the wheels, the links fall to the bottom.

If it's on the ground, the links are pushed to the top.

I know you mean well, but I'm not getting it.

OK. Simply tighten them up as when on the ground i.e. at the top of the slot. It is not that important and not worth the trouble of equalising the loading exactly, left/right.
