Need help with new front brakes...
I am putting new front rotors and brakes on the SVX...
Installed the new rotor, (took off the caliper braket, then put it back on) put the brake pads. When I swinging the caliper back down the caliper at the bottom part where the mounting bolt goes through is not clearing the caliper bracket. The pads are sliding over the rotor just fine and the pistons are compressed all the way. Any ideas what the problem is??? Thanks Naim

Check the part where the bottom caliper bolt goes through. It has a rubber boot around it and slides.

Then mine is seized as the stupid thing would not move.
I hope some WD-40 will remedy that.

You might have to remove the caliper and have a machine shop remove the sleeve for you. When you pick up a new bolt it usually comes with a new sleeve. If you are handy, put the caliper on a vise and bang out the sleeve with a punch and a mallet. Use emery cloth to clean both the inside and outside of the sleeve and the bolt. Also use anti seize compound on both parts before re- installing.
