This very reason led me to buy an SVX (buying a house) and the *class* of this car is going to make me remain an owner for many years to come.

On the plus side, they're many more mods avaialble for the SVX now with more to come. Heck, for $6,500 on top of the price of the SVX, you could be driving around with a s/c beast!!!!

Not even top-of-the-line (note faux-suede seats and lack of spoiler). This is the kind of car that should be bringing top retail dollar according to "book" value, maybe in the $4K to $5K range. It is fourteen years old and ripe for all the SVX gremlins to attack. "Looks like" it has been garaged paints a pretty picture but actually being garaged is a question. There are better deals out there, but once you picture yourself in that car......... Best wishes.

"There are better deals out there,"
True, but there are less and less every day.
For what it's worth, I passed on several SVX's that had much
lower mileage than the one I finally bought (104K). It was
in tremendous shape, and all the records were available. Five
years later it has proven to be a wise choice.
Mileage only tells half the story IMHO.
(She now has 150K, and you'd swear it was a brand new car
if you took it for a ride.)

Agreed... Mileage is a small part of the story. That only means the famous 92 tranny hasn't cracked up yet.

I noticed in the pictures this one doesn't have Power seats. So it's the cheaper model... Not the LS-L.... What was it? The LSi? Weren't all 92's AWD's though? The later models without power seats tended to be the FWD models.

All 92-93 models were awd. They were two models available: LS-L and LS.

Only fwd models ever offered were in the '94-'95 model years. My '96 L model doesn't have power seats but it sure has awd!
