The only good thing about these cars is that they make the SVX look even better!

I think it looks great. Definitely a new design direction, but at least it's only the front.
Looks less childish.

Taillights = teh suxors

Roof wing = teh lame

Grille = meh

Final Judgement: a bit better than the '04/'05, but still not in the league of a bugeye or GC8. But, I'm still hoping that this will be the rumored all-new '07 Impreza:

If so, I know what my next car will be.

the Legacy Spec B is coming here in a few months - Legacy GT with 18" wheels, Bilstein suspension, and red leather. i think the only thing i'd want out of it is the suspension, but i can get that for a lot less by going aftermarket.

Whoever designed that front faiscia on the 06 imprezza listed here needs to have paper cuts put all over his(or her) body and then be dumped in the ocean.

I don't know if he designed it himself per se, but the man responsible for it would be Andreas Zapatinas.

P.S. The '06 STI looks so-so. The design could probably grow on me over time...

the only really difference to the exterior is the hard-to-clean wheels and the lip spoiler. i'm surprised they didn't put the sport grille on it - those look SOOO much better.

While looking for pics of the 2005 Legacy Blitzen, here is where I first came across the Legacy STi, as you can see on the bottom caption it is a Legacy 3.0R Spec B tuned by STi that was shown at the 2005 Tokyo Auto Salon. In fact there was as you can see two, one sedan and a wagon version. While looking for more information on it I then happened to come across this page which lists exactly what performance parts are in this car and they are actually intending to either or sell it across dealers in Japan or make in a JDM dealer installation, which will also mean a further addition to the overall STi parts catalog.

What peeks my interest the most though is the fact that they beefed up the tranny a bit, which leads me to believe they have other more drastic modifications in store for the near future.

As for the Impreza with a new facial, I'm glad it is just a optional accessory for servey reasons in Europe. Not becaus I think it's ugly as much as it is good to hear that Subaru is gathering consumer opinion, I just wish they would regard American customers with as much asteem. If they are indeed proceeding with a total renewal of the Impreza I just wish the normal trim would look like the tan pic above this post while the WRX version would look more like this one, since they at a bit more streamlined and have more personality.

they are trying to evolve past the dull subarus we all know and love. the concepts like the b9 scrabpler and b11s are the future and it looks bright. sure, we would love for them to just release these cars now but they cant just drop a radicaly diferent platform, it would be another svx.
