Looks like a pelvis and base of a tail. From what kind of animal, I don't know, but I guess I really don't care, either.

I read your post with interest. I think your family's problems stem from the fact that you settled in the wrong part of the country.
If you had settled in the Times Square, NYC area (my old neighborhood), no one would have paid attention to you. There are alot more weirder people walking around Times Square than your family.

I actually have a cousin who lives under a bench there, has for years, ever since he was removed from his old home in the subway. We had a little party last may.
