Tool thread on NASIOC
I know many of you here like to work on your own cars (like me ) and thought this might be of interest to you. The thread is very well researched, linked and laid out and offers some great information for anyone looking to purchase tools.
http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=686106 Just one more reason to spend time at the Impreza site. Have fun! Todd

interesting read.
I agree with the poster's opinion that what's good for you might not be for me. For example, I have a couple of 3/8" ratchets. One has cross-hatching on the handle (for grip I guess) and one does not. I much prefer the smooth handle. Snap-On is a bit overpriced, but sometimes you get what you pay for too...I had some trouble with a Harbor Freight impact wrench and when I took it back the HF store manager told me the Ingersal-Rand I exchanged it for (rated about 100 ft-lbs less than the HF brand) put out the same, or maybe more, force. |
