Inconsistent acceraction when cold.
When I drive my SVX is cold, not warmed up i have a incosistent acceration when going through the lower rpms, 1500-3000. The car fells like it wants to kindof jerk around. Example made up at 2000 rpms it accerating at a cetain rate then it slows acceration at 2200 then acceration speeds up at 2400. Its barley noticable, and it only does it when its cold. If it matters i have a 5spd. Does any know what it is?

This is normal. It has been discussed many times, but I'm not sure if we ever really agreed on what it is. I have driven 4-5 SVX's and they ALL do it. I have only found two ways to stop it from happening:
1) Let the car warm up for a minute or two before driving.....even if it is warm outside. 2) Accelerate slowly from any stop that you make, at least for the first minute or so of driving. Just another one of the SVX's weird quirks. Dave |

Yeah, mine does the same thing. I guess it's just a quirk...

Ive found that if you let the SVX warm up to its normal operating temp the car runs beautifully. i always do this when i have time and am very pleased with the results. When i dont let it warm up fully it jerks around and stuff.
