Hub Centric Ring Question

I'm going to be mounting a set of RX8 wheels on my SVX. I got the proper measurements, and purchased a set of hub rings to adapt them to fit the SVX properly. Here is my question:

The hub rings stick up over the surface of the wheel which would be sitting flush with the brake. (They have a tapered end.) It's probably about 1/32nd of an inch. Am I missing something here, or should I be grinding this additional space off of the hub rings?

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question

No need to grind them. Just slide them on so the bigger side is facing the rotor. It works for me.

Re: Hub Centric Ring Question

The hub centric rings I purchased fit flush with the wheels I bought. I have some others for another set of wheels for our Baja and they fit flush as well. I don't think there should be anything above the mounting surface of the wheel. I'll try and take some pics.

That's the way they are made - no worry .....
