Alternator mod question

I bought some 4ga wire today and I was wondering if I'm supposed to keep all the stock wiring where it is along with adding this.

Yep, All the stock wires stay.

is it just the one wire you need to hook up?
where are all the other heavy duty wires going to?

One wire from alternator to positive battery, one from negative battery to AC bracket, and one more from negative terminal to chassis ground.
