Fortunately for all of us, the House and Senate (mostly Republican) disagreed with the President's man and had the guts to go against their party lead to hold USAF/USN/USMC end-strength and increased the Army. The very definition of comedy is a debate between Bill O'Reilly and Michael Moore. They're both extremely biased idiots who refuse to acknowledge any logical argument.
I'm sick of this two-party BS. They're both right-wing authoritarian scumbags who want to regulate my life. There's hardly any difference. I'm voting for Badnarik. He's not gonna win, but I'm not gonna give my support to either of those bigshot morons. |

On a scale of 1 - 10, 1 being radical conservative and 10 being radically liberal with 5 being moderate, the following applies:
Rush Limbaugh: 1 FoxNews: 4 ABC News: 7 CBS News: 8 NBC News: 8 NPR: 9 Dave Letterman and Jay Leno: 8 I love NPR's "fair and balanced", they have a left wing liberal (10)and a moderate democrat (6) and call it representing both sides Doug

From everything I've read thus far, the weapons disappeared between March and May of 2003. The inspectors from the IAEA visited the site from March 9th through the 15th and reported the seals were intact. Then, on March 20th, the US invasion began. On April 3rd, the 3rd Infantry Division arrives at the Al-Qaqaa site and stays for several days. No searched for explosives are conducted. On April 9th the 3rd Infantry captures Baghdad (same day that huge Saddam Statue came down). On April 10th, the 101st Airborne arrives for 24 hours to search for chemical weapons. No search is conducted for high explosives. On May 3rd, the IAEA notifies the US in Vienna that the Al-Qaqaa should be inspected for explosives. On May 8th an American survey team returns to Al-Qaqaa and searches the Latifiyah Phosgene Facility and finds heavy looting. On May 27th, soldiers search for the explosives and discover that the seals are broken. Now on October 10, 2004, Iraqis claim that the facility was broken into after the US capture of Baghdad during the chaos immediately following the capture. So this makes me think. First, if all these soldiers were at the site in April, wouldn't they have discovered a plundered site? I mean, the photos that are being shown on the tele show a huge mess of shells and metal all about. The 3rd Division stayed at the site for several days near the time Baghdad fell. Later on, the 101st Airborne stayed at the site for 24 hours and didn't report anything either. Of course, they weren't searching for high explosives, but if they were searching for chemical weapons, one would think that had soldiers come across a field of empty shells, then those shells would be tested to find out what was inside. At that time, we might have found out just what was at that site. But, it appears that the soldiers never found anything out of the ordinary (they only stayed 24 hours) and so they left. If that is the case, then the United States was responsible for providing security after April 9th and so the United States is responsible for that site.

one thing you should also know before voting is that the Kerrys pay 12% in taxes while the average working stiff pays 30% or more.
got a plan to fix that, Johnny K?

1. It's a site meant for weird facts, not a news organization 2. It was submitted by "Mike", who is "Mike"? 3. They don't even know how to quote correctly. Look closely, there are several instances of missing opening or closing quotation marks. I really am interested though, so if you find a different source let me know. Edit: Doing the math, the Bushes pay about 23%, which is still less than the average worker.

the percentage difference has to do with how their income is structured and what they can legally write-off...Mr Bush received about a third of his income from salary vice Kerry in what I assume was capital gain. |

But a 9 for NPR? What program(s) do you listen to on NPR? I find Fresh Air to be reasonably balanced. I wonder how many of us forum members live in a "Swing State". I long for the good ole days of Tide detergent advertising - I counted during my local news and over 50% of the ads were BS from one side or the other - and they get nastier each day. I'd ground my kids for lying as badly as our next president (whomever that is) is doing. |

Hi there. I'm from PA. Enough said.
Every commercial break is three Kerry ads, two Bush adds. Then a commercial for a reality show. Kerry and Bush have been to my area more times in the last month than all the visits by past presidents in my lifetime combined. I've seen them both speak several times, and shook hands with both men. There's no end to the line of BS that Kerry and his minions will use to get into office. From made up "real-life" movies to falsified news stories to classics such as staged commercial interviews, this election has really shown us how low a man can go. Needless to say, i'm voting for Bush. Once he is re-elected, I think he should call up John-John & Co and thank them for all they have done to help him get re-elected. |
