The last I heard (about 2 years ago), the SVX pace car was in an automotive storage warehouse/garage located in the Cherry Hill, NJ area very near SOA. I don't know it's exact location or if it's still there.
If I did, I would be in the midnight auto business and Earl would own a fushia metalflake SVX with a flashing amber light on the roof. And McGvyer, I would have made back what I paid out for the new '97 SVX and then some. I will bring the "SVX Pace Car" poster to the Reading Meet.

Mine...
I have a Subaru SVX ad pulled from a magazine professional framed and matted hanging on my wall back in Minot. It is even the same color as my car!!

My guess would be that when they smooshed the door, they lost the glass. the picture looks edited. it does look like it got smashed, but i have an eye for digital image correction/alteration. also notice the black erased spot in the top left corner.
in any case it does seem to be in disrepair. does anyone else have tips that look like that? not even mine are that dingy and corroded. also, aren't there two pace cars? i remember a silver one. more and more inspection. looks like handprints/groping where dust used to be.
