Smile Woo-hoo! ...I woke up with 10 inches!!

...of COURSE snow, whatja think?
So late last night our local weather gurus said "3 inches overnight, with snow continuing all day Sunday, into Monday". "Could be up to a foot of the stuff". (Big deal, me no wimp). So, I roll out about 9:00 AM & sneak a peek out front & notice that my Plymouth van's tires have been stolen. No wait - I see some rubber...why the tires are still there, but mostly immersed in SNOW!! Yes - I must have 5" wheels because the weatherguys said 3" overnight.

Oh, no, I woke up in Oslo!!

Holy Crap! I turn on the media. "STORM OF THE CENTURY, (again), for all you east coast dwellers." "A foot on the ground now, with snow continuing into late Monday" Late Monday. LATE MONDAY!!???. I've got a foot on top of the 6" of leftovers from last week. Let's see - 30 more hours at an inch an hour (advanced math required), plus twelve, plus six equals...OH MY GAWD! I'll suffocate if I leave the house!
OK - snicker your butts off Colorado-ites, but there's a reason I dwell on this side of the continent. How many deaths from avalanches have you heard about in Baltimore, huh? Case rested.
But now... Suffocation, Osama, frostbite, locust plagues...If I ever get outta here, Mexico here I come. Earthquakes? Mexico has earthquakes?

It's always somethin'.

Ron. (Uh,oh - Gettin' low on wine - better break out the front end loader for the driveway).

10' of WHAT? LOL
Might want to keep that thing home

I'd have to say 10' of snow would suck!.
It's been raining alot here, like it does around this time of year.
Maybe one more good snow here, it would top off a very bad winter. It's been very warm here.

Southern Illinois, here. Thirteen straight hours of SLEET , so far. No rain. No snow. Just sleet.

It doesn't stick to anything, but piles up in the low places and corners. It's been pretty windy, too. It's mostly like driving in wet sand. It's real heavy, and out on the highway it's like miles and miles of speed bumps.

It seems to be pretty thin where there's grass, er, earth, maybe an inch or so deep, but stays on the road/sidewalks/other. I can imagine what the bridges are like. Fairly easy to drive in on level ground, but it still kept most folks away from church. I doubt if I would have gotten the Volvo out in it if that's all I'd had. Coming into my driveway, however, was another story. Picture two inches of coarse sand covering the surface. All four tires were smoking while we climbed at something under 1 mph. It was kind of eerie. I've really never experienced anything like it.

When I first read the topic I thought you got suckered into those "Growth pills" ......

Now that my heads out of the gutter... we're probably gonna get a lot of snow here.

Knit a sweater

Cuz thats the thing to do when you wake up with 10 incches...the real hard part is where do you put it all, to the left to the right. And it is pretty heavy. But you dont really have to worry about sliding around because you can hardly move it..I like alot better when its slippery and wet. its more fun that way.

Just watched the news I'm supposed to have 12inches by morning I hope I can get it to go away.

Goin' south...

<If I ever get outta here, Mexico here I come>

...reminds me of the other thread when I mentioned Key West!

When this winter is over, so many people are going to move to Florida, that the state will submerge beneath the ocean...

Sleet all over the place here. A short drive up the hill to a local store in the Impreza this afternoon was a clinic on car control; I felt like a rally driver.

Slip slidin' away in West Virginia.....Don
