Parts bin

And I'm sure you probably have the same combination/turn signal stalk as half the 02 gm models too.

First, ones that I've owned:

199X Nissan 300Z - I had a 96 n/a but would have preferred an earlier TT
88-91 Honda CRX - Rebuilding my 89's engine right now
69 Mustang
BMW 2002

Now for my dream list... note, I've got a thing for '72 models

'72 BMW 3.0CSi
'72 Buick Riviera
'72 Volvo P1800
'72 Dodge Dart Swinger
'72 DeTomaso Pantera
'72 Datsun 240Z
'72 Porcshe 911S
'72 Opel GT

Cord 810
Nissan Skyline GT-R
'76 AMC Pacer X

And yes, the Studebaker Gold Hawk (but with the more streamlined Commander front end) and the Lancia Stratos...

My Uncle had a 1970 Mercury Cyclone CJ -- I loved that car, even though it was <looking around, motioning you to come closer, whispering> pale yellow.

I forgot one...favorite import...and that's the Skyline. Almost any model but i really like the look of the R350 and R500.

About the GM steering column...interesting note...The steering column in the 2002 Trans Am is the exact same one that's in my brother's 1969 Camaro. Of course there's some new black plastic in it...but as i always say...if it ain't broke...don't fix it. GM does that with alot of things...but so does Ford...the Mustang is built on a chassis designed in 1979. And chrysler...their beloved minivans...still use the same suspension as the 1986 models. GM's extensive re-usage of old parts could be part of the reason that they are the only American auto maker not struggling to survive right now.

My 2 cents

Two of my old favorites have already been mentioned...

MGB GT and Morgan Plus 8

add to that, a newer SVX, the last model supercharged Riviera, and a Honda S2000 and that would make one happy garage!

The first car, in which I broke the century mark was a 1957 Vette. I was only 15, so, I wasn't driving yet. My uncle was.

I'd love to have a 55 T-Bird (My birth year), just to have one.

I don't know how old you are, but, I'm proof that, at 47, age has not yet displaced stupidity at that age -- Evidence: I have TWO SVXes, and, I've been to 135 in the first one.

On the basis of affection for what they did for me:-

1. Subaru FF1 Sports Sedan. 2. Mini Cooper 1275. 3. Daimler SP250 Dart.

Sorry but the SVX still has to make its mark.

- BMW Z8. Nothing compares.

- Jaguar XKR Coupe, and the convertable, and the XJ series, which I consider timeless.

- Acura NSX. LOVE it.

- Porsche 911 series, hate the Boxter, like the Cyeanne.

- 2004 RX-8, and 2005 RX-7 (YES! IT'S COMING BACK!).

- 1995 Mazda RX-7

- Ferarri 360 Modena.

- The new Maserati.

- Lamborginis are awesome...the Countach, the Diablo, the new thing...just pure cool.

- 1985 Subaru XT GL-10 On Demand Four Wheel Drive Turbo 5 speed.

- 1991 Subaru XT-6 5 speed (Hey, can I put THAT manual in my SVX?).

- 1994 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4.

- 1990 Mazda Miata. Pure coolness.

- I like the design of the Hyundai XG series. Very italian...I have a thing for italian designs.

...more to come...lol.
