Not sure about the speed sensor, but for the neutral switch here is what you should do. The wires you bridged for it to think it's in neutral, wire them instead to a switch on the clutch pedal assembly (the spot where the pedal will only need to be pushed down a little bit to activate it). The switch needs to be normally closed, like the switch on the brake pedal that turns on the brake lights. In fact the easiest thing to use seems to be a brake pedal switch.

This way, the car will only start when the clutch is pressed (although it doesn't matter how far you push it down) and cruise control should work and will disengage when you step on the clutch.

fitted a 3 wire sensor from an 05 sti and it worked flawlessly. should have tried this yesterday
