locking drivers door with key funtion not working

(I did search..)
dont even drive my Svx much anymore, so the battery went dead..
I charged the battery and drove the car around everything worked
and ran fine.
Parked the car and closed the door like normal
(My keyless entry hasnt worked for over a year)
so I just lock the door with the key, but this time when I turned
the lock to the right, I feel resistance and the doors wont lock.
Key turns to the left okay for unlock.
Ive never looked deeply into how this system works, so if anyone can
give me some ideas, Id appreciate it.

Try some WD-40 in the door lock, then use the key to work it in there. They tend to get stuck if you don't use them very often. Every once in a while when I wash the car or something I WD40 the door locks, so that doesn't happen later on.

okay, what part technically is the actuator ?
think maybe Ill pull the door panel off too and
spray some stuff from the inside too.

The actuator is the electric motor that moves the lock. Sometimes they get stuck after sitting for a long time or if something is acting up in the electrical system... (bad alt for example) No cleaning here, just replacement but be carefull I think 94+ has different connectors that the 92&93

sorry for the tread jack
mine will lock from the key or the lock on the door panel
when you lock the driver door it also locks the passenger door
when you press the power lock button the passenger door locks and unlocks but the driver does not
when using the keyless remote it only locks or unlocks the passenger door

anyone have any idea what is wrong with it

Your car is 94 or newer, go start your own thread !!

but honestly, the 94+ cars with the pdl button on the dash
may have different ways for diagnostics.
