Re: CHECK ENGINE light on

where did you get it back from? and did you get charged ? if theyre a dealer you need to give them a rev about it, they have the equipment to check the codes, if the light is on there will be a code stored in the ecu

Re: CHECK ENGINE light on

As they have checked the codes, they should be able to say what is producing that code. Maybe Knock sensor or O2 sensor is a bit vague.
It is probably a O2 sensor. What model is it obd1 or obd2?

Harvey.

Harvey, how you doing ?
you were my saviour a few years back when I was in Qld. with the aircon problem.
these are the parts they suggested it may be .
knock sensor 22060aa031
or
oxy sensor 22690aa180
buy they are not sure. there are less svx's in Melbourne so harder to find someone who knows them .

Giday Joann, yes I remember.
There are two of each O2 sensors and Knock sensors, one for each bank. I think you should pull the codes yourself to see which sensor is the problem.
You can find how to do it here,http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/How-To/14337.doc
and here

It's not hard to do, just look behind the right hand side kick panel, it will just pull off.

Harvey.
