Re: A little help?
As far as I know, and OBDII system must be scanned with an appropriate OBDII scanner. The Snap-On we used was universal, but different interchangeable circuit tabs were used for each vehicle make. You can buy make-specific scanners for under a hundred ive seen, but they will simply provide a P-code... you still have to cross reference it.

Re: A little help?
Any OBD 2 scanner on the market will work for generic PO... codes which 99.9% of the time it is. The port is most likely near the drivers left knee.

Re: A little help?
The port is behind the little door that says "DIAGNOSTIC CONNECTOR" which is located near the driver's right knee to the right of the steering wheel.

Re: A little help?
I think that people have used the Bosch ones before. Also there are very inexpensive ones on ebay that you just have to splice into the old connector. A little work but can save you some extra cash. Just wait for others on any other brands recommended or try doing a search as its been covered many times before.
-At least over by you Appleton is just a short drive away with a real mall and your selection of places to go eat is a lot larger than here. Last edited by 1986nate; 01-28-2009 at 09:57 PM. |

Re: A little help?
If you want to save $30 and get the ACDelco, go to http://www.rockauto.com/RSS/vehiclef...l=en&html=true. Ive had good experiences with rockauto. And be sure to spray your 02 sensor generously with penetrating oil the night before (on a cool exhaust lol), it will help immensely with removing it.

Re: A little help?
for the 02 sensor you just unplug the electrical connector and slide the appropiate box end wrench over the wire and onto the 02 sensor and unscrew the rascal.
Am I missing something here?? Keith |

Re: A little help?
