Talking Hi out there......

I've been visiting this site for the past 3 weeks gathering info on one of the neatest cars in America. Presently I have a Legacy SW Turbo and a XT6........now I spend any extra time surfing the web for my next Subie......a 1992 white SVX L....ohhhhh SOMEDAY.

Oh....one more thing.....I learned where the button to adjust my steering wheel is on a post in this forum (hidden under the steering wheel) I just thought that large button that flopped it front was all I could do. Thanks a bunch guys!!!!!

I'll be reading and sometimes posting and hopefully one Sunday will get up to Ollie's in Lancaster.

Cool

Welcome Someday... but, uh....there are some rules of etiquette one must observe in order to be... well... accepted here. There are NO white SVXes (repaints excluded). There ARE Pearl SVXes. No black ones, only Ebony Mica or Ebony Pearl ones. No maroons, just Claret or Bordeaux ones. There, sir. Please study up on the various hues & we'll test you again later. Oh... Yellow is Y****W. We'll explain that in lesson II. Happy Pearl hunting.

Ron.

On the trail of the Lonesome Wine...

SVXsomeday...

Please excuse Ron. There actually IS a maroon...just ask Bugs. And the correct name for Claret or Bordeaux is "Box 'o wine". He should know better.... Don

No,no,no, Garrett. Fords are purple. Dodges are purple. SVXes are Raspberry Frappe Mica. Unless, of course, they're from West Virginia. Then they're Squished Pokeweed Dingleberry.

Ron.

What's my wine?

<Squished Pokeweed Dingleberry>

Where in the world did you find a box of THAT?

I wish our vineyards wouldn't export the GOOD stuff; that means there is less for US..

I've heard that there is new industry moving into
West-By God-Virginia.

Emmet & Jugs Gallon, Inc. will open a bottling plant by Institute, WV. Emmet & Jugs are 3rd cousins of Ernest & Julio. They are contracting with local vitners. They will market a wine made from local vines. It will carry the brand name "Hooch-O-De-Hill."

The other company is DANA Corp. They mix and package private label perfumes and colognes. Their plant will be in Charlestown.
Their first products will be called, "Eau de Coal" and "Essence of Anthracite".

i think if you could afford to buy a new SVX back in the day, you can use the fancy names. mine's black. i also have a "Porsh", not a "Porsh-ah".

O/T

Reminds me of the odd-job man who called to a house looking for work. The owner said he had a porch out back, wanted it painted green. The guy agreed to do the job for $50. When he was collecting the money two hours later, he told the owner, "By the way, thats a Ferrari you have out the back, it's not a Porch at all!"

Joe

Mine's Plum Gorgeous by the way.

Well, you are close there Larry. Actually, the wine industry has been growing in West Virginia for the last 20 years or so, and winning many awards in the process. Institute is not noted for wine though; it is noted for the sister chemical plant to the one in India (Bopal) that leaked and killed so many people a few years back.
CharlesTON is close to the coal fields, and might produce some carbon-copy essences. CharlesTOWN in the panhandle is more closely associated with racing horses than black diamonds. Don

Colour ( Color )

Not to be left out. Mine is bloody Crimson Mica. And the very best down here is an All Black. The other half is red tinted and rather sexy.

I hope the owner to be realises we are in fact just a friendly lot and not at all too mad ! Cheers.
